Adamu Shehu Muazu & Elizabeth Nuhu Win 2020 Tito Makurdi Marathon Race

Adamu Shehu Muazu and Elizabeth Nuhu have emerged overall national winners of the second edition of 32 Kilometers Tito Makurdi Marathon race held in Makurdi, Benue state.

Adamu Shehu Muazu from Kaduna State, won the male category in 1 hour 26 minutes to receive the cash prize of 100,000 and pack of Tito Yoghurt.

Raymond Simon and Daudu John, both of Kaduna State, emerged in second and third positions to win cash prizes of 50,000 and 30,000 and pack of Tito Yoghurt respectively in the same category.

In the female category, Elizabeth Nuhu of the Nigeria Customs Service, Abuja emerged winner in 1 hour 46 minutes to win 75,000 cash prize and pack of Tito Yoghurt, while Jamila Aminu and Lovine Audu, both from Nasarawa State, won  the second and third  prizes of 50,000 and 30,000 and packs of Tito Yoghurt respectively in the same category.

In second category termed ‘local’, Ameh Emmanuel came first by finishing the race 1 hour 56 minutes while Folara Emmanuel and Wazanga emerged first and second runners-up with cash prizes of 30,000, 15,000 and 5,000 respectively.

Shimemge Agba won the female local category while Doshima Awuhe and Jato Loveh emerged second and third respectively with similar cash prizes for male counterparts.

A 63 years old man, John Igbokwe who participated in the marathon and finished the race in 2 hours and 32 minutes, was honoured with a consolation prize.

The 2020 Tito Markudi Marathon Race event was put together by the Tito group of companies.
