Adepeju Jaiyeoba, Nnaemeka Ikegwuonu, Temie Giwa Tubosun and Fela Akinse have emerged winners in the 2020 The Meaningful Business 100 (MB100 2020).

Adepeju Jaiyeoba

Adepeju Jaiyeoba is the founder of Colourful Giggles Nutrition, a company that provides affordable nutritional solutions to African children using local ingredients.

Adepeju has experience across maternal and child health, Law, civic leadership, policy formulation and legislative drafting, as well as youth engagement. Specifically, her work focuses on providing simple lifesaving solutions to some of the world’s biggest problems.

Nnaemeka Ikegwuonu

Nnaemeka is a farmer, community radio agricultural presenter; Founder/CEO of ColdHubs Limited and Executive Director of Smallholders Foundation Ltd. /Gte. He founded Smallholders Foundation ( www.smallholdersfoundation.org.ng ) in 2003 at the age of 21; the organization uses its Smallholder Farmers Rural Radio (FARM F.M) Network to reach an estimated 250,000 farmers with daily agriculture, environmental management and market access, radio educational messages.
In 2015, he launched ColdHubs ( www.coldhubs.com ) a social business that designs, installs and commissions 100% solar powered walk-in cold rooms in farms and marketplaces, to enable smallholder farmers, retailers and wholesalers to store and preserve fresh fruits, vegetables and other perishable food 24/7 extending the shelf life from 2 days to 21 days. ColdHubs aims to eliminate the impact of food spoilage and lack of small scale post-harvest infrastructure facing 470 million smallholder farmers globally and increase the income of farmers and retailers because, previous losses have been
eliminated.

Nnaemeka is Nigeria’s most prominent young agriculturist. He is an Ashoka Fellow 2008, Laureate of the Rolex Awards for Enterprise 2010, Laureate WISE Awards 2010, Future Awards Nigeria’s Young Person of the Year, 2011, Fast Company USA 100 Most Creative in Business 2012, Laureate of the Niigata International Food Prize, Japan 2012 and 2013 Laureate of the prestigious Yara Prize for Green Revolution in Africa (now Africa Food Prize) among other international and local recognitions.

Temie Giwa Tubosun

Temie started LifeBank in 2016 to bring vital medical supplies, including blood, to people who need them, when they need them. In addition to blood products, LifeBank delivers products like emergency medical oxygen canisters, platelets, plasma, and vaccines. The company can get blood to any hospital in its service area within 55 minutes, day or night, so doctors can focus on treating patients rather than on the logistics of locating blood.

LifeBank concentrates on what Temie calls “the four Ds,” data, discovery, delivery, and donors. Since its launch, the company has transported more than 20,000 units of blood and other medical products, served 450 hospitals, engaged 5,823 donors, and saved 6,757 lives. LifeBank’s ambitious mission is to save a million lives across Africa in 10 years and to reach all of Africa, India, Southeast Asia, and South America to deliver critical supplies around the clock.

Fela Akinse

Having resigned as a business analyst, Fela started out as the Founder and Creative Director at SALUBATA. He has won numerous awards including the Forbes Fellowship 2018, the UBER /Lagos Innovates pitch 2019, The British Council Prize for Entrepreneurship, 2019 and the UKGovernment's Department of International Trade Hackathon, 2019.

Recently nominated as a World Economic Forum Global Shaper 2020, the 'Business Person of the Year' by The Entrepreneur Africa Awards 2019, Winner of the Africa 3535 young innovator in Africa Awards 2019, won the UK Government's Department for International Trade (DIT) Hackathon competition, 2019, The British Council Entrepreneurship Award in 2019, Winner of the Udo Udoma & Belo-Osagie Black Friday Pitch 2019, 100 Most Promising Startups in Africa by Africa Moves in 2019 and more.
