2026 NCAA Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships: Temitope Adeshina Wins Gold Medal In Women’s High Jump Event

Temitope Adeshina has defended her crown at the 2026 NCAA Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships, clearing 1.97 metres to secure the gold medal in the women’s high jump.

Representing Texas Tech Red Raiders, Adeshina produced a composed and technically sound display throughout the 2026 NCAA Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships, ultimately matching her personal best and Nigerian national record with the championship-winning jump.

Adeshina entered the competition as the defending champion and handled the pressure with confidence, maintaining her composure against a strong field of competitors.

Her winning clearance of 1.97 meters proved decisive and ensured she retained the national collegiate indoor title. Finishing in second place was Ghanaian athlete Rose Yeboah, who recorded a best clearance of 1.94 metres in a spirited challenge. Despite the strong competition, Adeshina’s consistency and ability to deliver at crucial moments ultimately separated her from the rest of the field.
