Rosemary Chigozie Nwankwo has won Gold medal in the Girls’ 100 meters race event at the 2025 African School Games in Algiers, Algeria.
She becomes the new African secondary school champion.
Rosemary led a Nigerian 1-2 in the final, winning the title in a time of 11.75 seconds beating her teammate and friend, Miracle Oluebube Ezechukwu who finished second in the race with a time of 11.83 seconds.
Ndoulou Boukama from Congo Brazzaville, got the Bronze medal, finishing third in 12.19 seconds.
