Obiageri Amaechi has set a new Personal Best (PB) for the fourth time this year, winning the women’s Discus Throw at the 2024 Oklahoma Throws Series #11 with a 63.17 meters throw.
The African Games Champion further solidified her position as number two on the Nigerian all-time list, defeating Julia Tunks who got a PB of 62.07 meters.

Chinecherem Prosper Nnamdi has won the men’s javelin throw event at the 2024 NCAA West Regionals in Arkansas with a throw of 82.54 meters.
That’s the biggest throw in the NCAA this year and his second best behind his National Record of 82.80 meters at the African Games.
He also got 82.46 meters in his series and is gearing up nicely for the NCAA Championships, which he has now qualified for.
