Francis Epe has emerged as winner of the 2023 eTranzact Golf Classic, defeating about 80 other professional golfers from across Nigeria and other countries.
The tournament, which held from Thursday, April 27 to Saturday, April 29, 2023, at the Lakowe Lakes Golf Estate, off Lekki-Epe Expressway, Lagos had both category one amateur golfers and professionals competing while gathering ranking points on the Professional Golfers Development Tour.

36-year-old Nigeria’s second-ranked table tennis champion, Edem Offiong has made history as the first Nigerian to win the European Cup Women’s Table Tennis title.
Remarkably, it was also the first European title for ASD Quattro Mori Cagliari club.
The elated Offiong, who currently ranked 142nd in the world, helped her Italian Quattro Mori Cagliari record the famous victory over Hungary’s SH ITB Budaorsi Sport Club in the final over two legs in Budapest.

Guinness World Record has confirmed Philip Solomon, a 17-year-old student of Oyemekun Grammar School Akure, Ondo State, as the record holder for most skips on one foot in 30 seconds.
On January 24, 2023 Solomon officially recorded 153 skips on one foot in 30 seconds to erase the former record holder, Rasel Islam of Bangladesh whose record was 145 skips in 30 seconds.

Success Umukoro has emerged winner of the 60 meters race event at the 2023 NJCAA Indoor Championships running a new Personal Best (PB) of 7.36 seconds.
She was unbeaten throughout the championship, successfully defending her 60 meters title in an impressive time of 7.36 seconds. She did this after running a brilliant PB of 7.35 seconds in her qualifying heat to make the final.
Umukoro, a student of South Plains College, was awarded Track Athlete of the Year of the Central and West Region for outstanding performances this season.

He beat Ayden Owens-Delerme in 50.28 seconds while Caleb Cavanaugh followed in 50.31 seconds.
