2025 Eugene Diamond League: Chukwuebuka Enekwechi Sets African Record In Men’s Shot Put Event

Chukwuebuka Enekwechi has set a new African record with a throw of 22.10 meters to finish third at the 2025 Eugene Diamond League.

Joe Kovacs won the event throwing a World Leading mark of 22.48 meters.

Roger Steen narrowly edged out Enekwechi for second place, throwing a Personal Best of 22.11 meters on his fifth attempt to secure second place.

Enekwechi tried to better that on his last attempt, but finished with a mark of 21.68 meters.

2025 ATX Sprint Classic: Favour Ofili Wins Women’s 100 Meters Race Event

Favour Ofili has emerged winner of the women’s 100 meters final at the 2025 ATX Sprint Classic in Texas with a time of 10.78 seconds (3.1).

She defeated Gabby Thomas who ran 10.95 seconds and Kayla White in 10.97 seconds.

Rosemary Chukwuma was also in action and posted 10.98 seconds to finish fifth.

Ofili had run a new Personal Best (PB) of 10.87 seconds in qualification.

2025 Meeting Ciudad de Malaga: Alaba Akintola Wins Men’s 200 Meters Race Event

Alaba Akintola recorded a new Personal Best (PB) of 20.23 seconds (0.1) to win the men’s 200 meters race event at the 2025 Meeting Ciudad de Malaga in Spain.

He broke his PB from 2022 and is now the fastest Nigerian man over the distance this year.

He had finished second in the 100 meters, moments before that, running a Season’s Best of 10.17 seconds.

2025 Ostrava Golden Spike Meet: Tobi Amusan Wins Women’s 100 Meters Hurdles Event

Tobi Amusan has emerged winner at the 2025 Ostrava Golden Spike meet, winning the women’s 100 meters hurdles event with a time of 12.45 seconds.

Tobi was way ahead of her closest challengers in the race; Viktória Foster who was second in 12.74 seconds and Sarah Lavin third with a time of 12.76 seconds, who both ran Season’s Bests.

Emmanuel Ojeli Wins Men’s 400 Meters Race Event At 2025 Meeting Pergine In Italy

Emmanuel Ojeli has won the men’s 400 meters race event at the 2025 Meeting Pergine in Italy with a new meeting record of 45.74 seconds.

He defeated Francesco Rossi and Vladmir Aceti who both clocked an identical 46.18 seconds to finish second and third respectively. Botswana’s Tumostatago Van Wyk came in fourth in that race with a time of 46.25 seconds.
