Chioma Nwachukwu Wins Women’s 400 Meters Race Event At 2025 Hawkeye Invitational

Chioma Nwachukwu has emerged winner of the women’s 400 meters race event at the 2025 Hawkeye Invitational with a time of 53.32 seconds in her first ever indoor race.

Her time is not far off her total personal best, marking the 7th best time in school history.

Her teammate Alivia Williams was second behind her in 54.19 seconds.

2025 Corky Classic: Success Umukoro Wins Women’s 60 Meters Race Event

Success Umukoro has emerged winner of the women’s 60 meters race event in her season opener at the 2025 Corky Classic in a time of 7.21 seconds.

She beat Sharmelle Holmes, who ran 7.25 seconds and Gabrielle Matthews in 7.28 seconds.

Umukoro’s teammate, Mercy Umoibang, ran two personal best (PBs) in the heat and semifinal rounds, finishing with 7.38 seconds. In the same lane, Olayinka Olajide made her NCAA debut for Texas Tech and posted 7.42 seconds.

Immaculate Daniel Sets New Illinois State Women’s 60 Meters Record

Immaculate Daniel has set a new Illinois State women’s 60 meters race event record, clocking a time of 7.26 seconds in only her second outing for the school.

She had first equalled D’Jenne Egharevba’s record of 7.33 seconds in the heats before taking it to new heights.

She finished well ahead of her second-placed teammate Lindsey Miller in 7.43 seconds.

Fakorede Nicholas Wins Men’s 60 Meters Race Event At 2025 Samford Invite

Fakorede Nicholas for Mississippi State has won the men’s 60 meters race event at the 2025 Samford Invite in a time of 6.64 seconds.

His win time is the fastest by anyone from the school since D’Angelo Cherry in 2008.

He led a Nigerian 1-2 finish with Olaolu Olatunde who set a new school record of 6.68 seconds in his first race for Harding University.

Caleb Joshua Wins Men’s 200 Meters Race Event At 2025 Nevada Silver And Blue Invitational

Caleb Joshua has emerged winner of the men’s 200 meters race event at the 2025 Nevada Silver and Blue Invitational in 20.86 seconds, ahead of Shemar Palmer in 21.09 seconds.

He won, a day after setting an African under-20 record over 60 meters, becoming the first man from his school, Alaska Anchorage, to break 21 seconds.
