Chukwuma Rosemary Wins 100 & 200 Meters Events At TTU Corky/Crofoot Shootout In Texas [2022]

Chukwuma Rosemary has emerged winner of the 100 and 200 meters events at the TTU Corky/Crofoot Shootout in Texas.

Chukwuma won the women’s 100 meters convincingly with a time of 11.28 seconds (-0.1).

She clocked a Personal Best (PB) of 22.78 seconds to win the women’s 200 meters, running into a 1.4m/s headwind and way ahead of Aneesa Scott, 2nd in 23.26 seconds and Raheema Westfall in 23.31 seconds. This is a new school record and the 10th fastest time in the NCAA this season.

Rosemary Chukwuma has emerged champion of the Big 12 Indoor 60 meters event at the SEC Indoor Championships in Texas, USA 2022.

Chukwuma held off Julien Alfred who was also given the same time by two-thousandths of a second, while Kynnedy Flannel picked up 3rd in 7.30s.

She ran an impressive Personal Best (PB) of 7.17 seconds to take the title, breaking the Meet Record (MR).

The Nigerian also set a third school record in the space of three (3) weeks in the event.

Aruna Quadri has risen to become one of the top 10 players in the world in the latest International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) rankings.

The Nigerian rose two places in the latest ranking released on May 3, 2022 to place 10th best table tennis player in the world.

The ranking makes Aruna the first African, Nigerian or black table tennis player to break into the top echelon of the game.

Ashe Favour Becomes Nigeria’s Fastest Man In All Conditions (Running 9.79 Seconds)

Ashe Favour has run the fastest time in history by any Nigerian athlete in all conditions, racing to a staggering 9.79s (+3.0) to win his 100 meters heat at the LSU invitational meet in Baton Rouge on April 30, 2022.

That time, is the fifth fastest time all conditions in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) history.

Nsikak Etim edged fellow former continental “Word-Lord” Jimoh Saheed by seven cumulative points when both heavyweights finish with 11 wins apiece after 15 rounds of games in Asaba, Delta State on April 14, 2022.

Udodi Onwuzurike Sets New Records At 2022 Stanford Invitational In USA

Udodi Onwuzurike has set new records by breaking Stanford University’s freshman records in both the 100 and 200 meters races in his collegiate debut running 10.14 seconds in the 100 meters preliminary and topping it that with a 10.07 seconds in the final, which is No. 2 in America this year.

The 19-year-old World under-20 champion as a result of the feat earned his first Track Athlete of the week award after his phenomenal performance at the Stanford Invitational last weekend at Cobb Track and Angell Field in USA.

His time is the fastest by an under-20 in the world this year while he finished ahead of Japanese Yuki Koike in 10.31s and Alonzo Floriolli in 10.47 seconds.
