Jami Schlueter has broken the Nigerian National Record in the men’s heptathlon scoring a huge Personal Best of 5871 points at the 2026 US Combined Events Championships in Indianapolis.
The mark moves him to number two all-time in Africa, behind only Larbi Bourrada, and improves on the National Record he set just two weeks ago in Texas.
Schlueter finished 5th overall in the competition with the following scorecard:
60 meters – 6.98 (SB)
Long Jump – 7.39 meters (PB)
Shot Put – 14.40 meters
High Jump – 1.91 meters
60 mH – 7.97 (PB)
Pole Vault – 4.55 meters (SB)
1000 meters – 2:43.59 (PB)
