PositiveNaija Nigerian Chess Games featuring free classes, competitions and rankings, is an initiative of PositiveNaija Intelligence Academy, which aims to promote critical and strategic thinking skills, character development and the excellence of Nigerians.

The Rankings officially commenced on the 12th of September 2024.

Chess is taught for free for all at the gallery during open hours on Saturdays between 10am – 5pm. We also have chess boards of various sizes available.

Rules

  • No clock time for the game play
  • Win = 3 points; Draw = 1 point; Lose = 0 point.

The PositiveNaija Nigerian Chess Games are held at the PositiveNaija Art Gallery and Gift Shop in Karu site, Opposite Total Academy, Abuja.

The PositiveNaija Monthly Chess Competition and Exhibition is also held at the PositiveNaija Art Gallery and Gift Shop on the first Saturdays of every month aimed at showcasing chess talent, held monthly in Karu, Abuja.
