PositiveNaija welcomes participation in the 2021 PositiveNaija Online Culture Festival, which aims to promote and celebrate the diverse culture elements of the Nigerian society as well as improve positively, the reputation, dignity and pride of Nigeria and Nigerians.
Culture has an important role in the development of societies as it encompasses the set of beliefs, moral values, traditions, language and laws held in common by a nation or a defined group of people.
Nigeria is a country, which has its foundation embedded in culture. Along with her diverse geographical location and richly endowed resources, her multi-ethnicity creates an environment of unique identity, hospitality and adaptability.
Objective:
To reliably and creatively promote and celebrate the diverse cultures of Nigeria and the Nigerian people with a focus on the positive elements, which advocates values of respect, unity, peace, progress, ingenuity and love.
Eligibility:
- Participation is free
- Open to all persons.
Task:
Send in media materials (photographs/pictures; videos – documentary, explanatory; documents – PDF, MS Word, PowerPoint, etc.), which shows, promotes and celebrates the cultures of the respective Nigerian states accordingly.
Date:
January 1 – November 30, 2021
Guidelines:
- When submitting your materials, state your full names (mandatory) and telephone number (optional).
- Materials (photos and videos) already existing online are not encouraged.
- Submitted materials should be properly captioned accordingly.
- All conventional editing methods are acceptable. but submissions must remain realistic and editing should always be in enhancing an illusion or effect, but not create the illusion or effect.
- All materials submitted must be original and must not infringe upon the trademark, copyright, moral rights, intellectual rights, or rights of privacy of any entity or person.
- You must have permission from anyone who appears in the photograph or picture or who provides content to you for the contest.
- We reserve the right not to use any material that is not in compliance with these guidelines/expectations or is otherwise not in keeping with PositiveNaija’s values.
Copyrights & Usage Rights:
All submitted materials remain the property of the respective owners or participants. PositiveNaija reserve the right to use the materials submitted for the 2021 PositiveNaija Online Culture Festival for informative/educative and promotional purposes.
