Team Nigeria has emerged overall winner of the 2025 African Armwrestling Championship, held at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja.
Nigeria emerging overall champion clinched 28 gold, 35 silver, 38 bronze to top the continental medal table. A total of 101 medals for the Nigerians across both left-hand and right-hand events.
Athletes from more than 20 African nations competed across multiple male and female weight categories, with hosts Nigeria emerging as standout performer.
The Championship was organized by the National Sports Commission in collaboration with the African Armwrestling Federation.
