Blessing Ogundiran has set a new NAIA record in the women’s 100 meters race event, clocking a personal best of 11.21 seconds (0.5) at the 2026 Embry Riddle Classic in Florida.
She breaks the 11.28 seconds mark set by Jura Levy in 2014.
That means Nigerians now hold both the men’s & women’s NAIA 100 meters records, with Davidson Ezinwa’s 9.91 seconds from 1992 still standing on the men’s side.
Ogundiran also ran a personal best of 23.59 seconds in the 200 meters prelims, her first official sub-24 performance.
