Mohammad Musa has won the 7th edition of the 2016 Korean-Nigerian Drawing Competition (Gold Prize) for primary schools in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) of Nigeria, held at the Korean Cultural Centre, Abuja.
Mohammad Musa from Science Primary School, Kwali won a mini-laptop at the 7th edition of the Korean-Nigerian Drawing Competition.
The event, which witnessed lots of students and parents from various schools, also saw exquisite art works representing both the Nigerian and the Korean cultures. A total number of 45 schools and a total submission of 450 works made it an improvement from the previous edition.
Speaking, the Korean Cultural Centre’s Director, Mr. Han Sungrae pointed out that the 30 winning drawings exhibited at the centre, speak volume of what the Nigerian child can achieve when given the needed opportunity. He also said 2016 have provided for more schools to participate including for the first, private schools, which thereby has increased the total number of participating school to 45 and a total submission of 450 works.
“I’m happy that I won the gold price with my drawing. Though I didn’t know I would win it, I believe that my painting is good enough like the other contestants.
I thank God, the Korean cultural centre and FCT UBEB for giving us this opportunity. My laptop will help me do better in school and other homework.”
Three students won the silver prices, while other 6 student went home with the bronze.
