Eunice Gordon Osagiede Awarded USA Congress Woman Of Excellence Award 2019

Apostle Eunice Gordon Osagiede along with 19 others have been awarded the United States of America Congress Women of Excellence award for the year 2019.

Apostle Eunice Gordon Osagiede, a social crusader for women and youth empowerment was amongst 150 people that were screened across the globe.

It is to be noted that she is the only African woman to be featured in the 2019 awards. USA Congressman Danny K. Davis commented that the 7th congressional district’s Multi Ethic Advisory Task Force (MEATF) celebrated the 7th Annual International Women’s day by honoring “Twenty Global Women” who are excelling in their field of study.

Job Oyebisi Wins 2018 Ideas Change Lives British Council Global Competition

Job Oyebisi has who won the 2018 Ideas Change Lives British Council global competition and awarded a cash prize of £20,000 for emerging champion.

Job Oyebisi, who is the founder of StanLab, a 3D virtual science laboratory, is also a joint winner of the competition with ‘Malawi’s mHub’.

He won the championship that featured over 170 countries by creating a viable solution that would enhance secondary school students get acquitted with new learning skills in laboratory technology.

Afe Babalola Wins 2018 Obafemi Awolowo Leadership Prize

Afe Babalola (SAN) has emerged the winner of the 2018 Obafemi Awolowo Leadership Prize announced at a ceremony held in Sheraton Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos.

Afe Babalola was announced as the winner of the award by Chief Emeka Anyaoku, who is also the Chairman of the Selection Committee of the Obafemi Awolowo Leadership Award.

The Founder of Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti (ABUAD) and winner of the Zik Prize in Leadership for 2013 also become the third African to win the distinguished Obafemi Awolowo Leadership Prize (2018) after former South African President, Thambo Mbeki and Nigeria’s Nobel Laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka, won the Prize in 2014 and 2012 respectively.

Magistrate Abdul Majid Oniyangi, the Magistrate of Wuse Zone 6 Chief Magistrates’ Court in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) emerged winner by popular public votes.

Nuhu Ribadu Wins Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani International Anti-Corruption Excellence (ACE) Award 2018

Nuhu Ribadu, is among eight individuals and organisations recognised at the Third annual Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani International Anti-Corruption Excellence (ACE) Award 2018.

The pioneer chairman of Nigeria’s anti-graft agency, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Nuhu Ribadu with honorees from Asia, America, Africa, Oceania and Europe were recognised for their role in curtailing corruption at an event held Friday in Putrajaya, Malaysia.

Nuhu Ribadu and Leonard Frank McCarthy emerged the two winners in the category of Anti-Corruption Lifetime Achievement.

Held to coincide with International Anti-Corruption Day on December 9, the winners were presented their award by Tamim Al-Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar; Malaysian Prime Minister, Mahathir Mohamad; the Executive Director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, Yury Fedotov; and the Qatari Attorney General Ali Al-Marri.
