2024 Ed Murphey Classic: Ruth Usoro Wins Women’s Long Jump Event

Ruth Usoro has emerged winner of the women’s long jump event at the 2024 Ed Murphey Classic in Memphis, jumping 6.70 meters (0.0).

She had just two legal jumps, and it was only her first competition since she won the Triple Jump African Games title almost four months ago.

Chanice Porter was second with 6.50 meters, while Tyra Gittens followed with 6.35 meters to finish third.

Kanyinsola Ajayi has emerged winner of the men’s 100 meters race event at the 2024 Guldensporen Meeting in Kortrijk, Belgium, clocking a time of 10.17 seconds (+1.0).

He beat Favour Ashe who almost came off limping, running 10.31 seconds in second and Elvis Afrifa in 10.39 seconds.

Enoch Adegoke was also in action, posting 10.67 seconds to finish sixth.
