He becomes the second fastest African man ever to run the 400 meters indoors, only behind Ezekiel Nathaniel (44.75 seconds) and ties Fred Kerley for 13th on the all-time list.

Esther Joseph has ran a new Personal Best of 22.94 seconds to win the women’s 200 meters race event at the 2026 Tyson Invitational in Fayetteville.
She has ran four (4) individual races in 2026 and has PB’ed in all of them, from the 200 meters to the 400 meters.
Lauren Jarrett was a far second in her section with a time of 23.57 seconds.
Ella Onojuvwevwo has emerged winner of the women’s 500 meters race event at the 2026 LSU Twilight in Baton Rouge, securing a clear victory in a time of 1:11.66.
She was almost six seconds clear of the field, with second place Akaree Roberts finishing in 1:17.15.
