Olatunde Oduwole has emerged winner of the 2021 Champion of Champions Scrabble Tournament on December 5, 2021 at the multi-purpose hall of Prestige Hotel, in Benin City, Edo State.

Olatunde Oduwole defeated Wellington Jeghire, 2-1 to upset the world No. 4 Jighere, to claim the star prize of 500,000 and a giant trophy in the final of the tournament.

Kada Kings of Kaduna State emerged champions despite losing their last league game against Kwara United VC as both teams gained promotion to the Nigerian Volleyball Premier League following their successful campaign.

Ismael Sadjo & Joy Abiye-David Win 2021 Warri/Effurun Peace Marathon

Ismael Sadjo and Joy Abiye-David have emerged winners of the 2021 Warri/Effurun Peace Marathon held on November 27, 2021 in Warri, Delta State.

Ismael Sadjo had a run time of 29 minutes 45 seconds. Subject to ratification, Sadjo’s time is a new 10 km national record.

In the women’s race, Joy Abiye-David also created a new course record.

She clocked 35.02 minutes while Rose Akusho was second with 35.04 minutes and Moseje Vera Yohanna finished third at 36.30 minutes.
