Six (6) Nigerian athletes were in action at their respective NCAA Championships; five of those being at the Division I Championships in Fayetteville, Arkansas while one competed at the Division II Championships in Birmingham, Alabama.

Nigeria’s Under-19 Male Team have emerged winner of the 2021 African Nations Volleyball Championship held in Abuja on the 8th of March, 2021.
The volleyball team retained their title as Champions of Africa after beating Morocco 3-0 (25-8, 25-21, 25-23).

Aniekeme Etim has recorded a Season’s Best (SB) time of 7.35 seconds to win the women’s 60 meters at the NAIA Indoor Championships.
She defeated Raheema Westfall who ran 7.50 seconds to finish 2nd, while Brittany Jones placed 3rd in 7.52 seconds.
Aniekeme Etim on the same day returned back to track to win the 200 meters title in an SB of 24.13 seconds, ensuring that she defended both of the titles she won in 2020 whilst finishing again ahead of Westfall who clocked 24.30 seconds, as Derica Gibson finished 3rd in 24.85 seconds.
Joy Abu with a time of 56.47 seconds, placed 3rd in the women’s 400m final won by Rachel Battershell in 56.03 seconds, followed by Emma Bakker in 56.30 seconds.

Joseph Oreva-Edafiadhe has won the Men’s Field Athlete of the Year (Southeast Region) at 2021 NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Regional Award.
Joseph Oreva-Edafiadhe is ranked first nationally in the long jump at 7.84 meters (25-8¾). He is undefeated this season and won every competition by at least 30 cm (1 foot).
Favour Chukwuka Ofili has set a new African And national record at the Southeastern Conference Indoor Championships 2021 on February 27, 2021.
18-year-old Favour Chukwuka Ofili finished third in the 200 meters with a new Personal Best time of 22.75 seconds which dwarfs the former Nigeria national record of 23.00 secondss held by Regina George and by extension the African record hitherto held by Ivorian athlete, Murielle Ahouré at 22.80 seconds.
