Favour Ofili has emerged winner of the 60 meters race event at the 2023 Southeastern Conference Indoor Title held on February 26, 2023 at the Randal Tyson Track Center, Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Ofili continued her brilliant 2023 season after winning her first SEC 200 meters gold medal, clocking 22.52 seconds; the fastest time in the second final at the championships.
McKenzie Long who won the preceding heat, finished second overall in 22.67 seconds.
The Louisiana State University student ran a new 22.36 seconds to win the women’s 200 meters heat event at the Tiger Paw Invitational two weeks ago.
In the words of Favour Ofili on her win at the 2023 Southeastern Conference Indoor Championship:
“It’s good to come here and win the gold. I understand the time isn’t that fast, but we are working on getting faster.
The time is going to show one day, but I’m happy I am living here with something.”
