The Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) is the highest level of the Nigerian football league system, for the Nigerian club-football championships. It is fed into by the Nigeria National League (NNL).

Its existence dates back to 1990 (1970) when a law came into effect to introduce professional football in the country.

It is organised/managed by the League Management Company (LMC), a limited liability company incorporated as a commonwealth of the participating clubs and the Federation
