Moses Inwang has won the ‘Best Director’ and ‘Best International’ awards at the 2020 The People’s Film Festival (TPFF) for his movie, ‘Cold Feet’.

Other winners include: ‘The Meeting That Shaped Amerikkka’ (Kristopher Adams, Joshua Austin) for Best Feature Film; ‘The Reading’ (Garrick Wade) for Best Short Film; ‘Ruth Maingi – Poker (Dancurf Brown of Kenya) for Best Actress.

‘The New Normal’ has emerged winner of the Best International Narrative Features category at the 24th American Black Film Festival (ABFF) awards.

The 24th American Black Film Festival (ABFF) Awards ceremony, which was held online, took place from August 21-30, 2020.

The international narrative features category is a competitive section for feature-length films directed by or written and produced by persons of African descent. The cash prize is $2,500.

Okwubi Godwin Adah, a 400-level student of Anatomy, University of Benin, won the first prize with his poem titled ‘The House That Built Me’.

Obinna Ukwuani Appointed Chief Digital Officer Of Bank of Kigali, Rwanda

Bank of Kigali has appointed Obinna Ukwuani as Chief Digital Officer replacing Regis Rugemanshuro who was appointed to head Rwanda Social Security Board in February this year.

The position among other things involves leading the Digital Factory division for product innovation and development in digital banking – a role he has been working on since June.

The division is responsible for innovation such as Ikofi, a digital wallet that offers financial services with a focus on Rwandan farmers, agro-dealers, Agri-businesses and other players in the agricultural ecosystem.
