Oyo State Secondary school debate team has emerged winner in the 2021 inter-senior secondary school debate competition organised by the President’s Schools Debate, Nigeria (PSDN), in collaboration with the Oyo State Ministry of Education.
The event took place at the Ibadan Business School, Francis Okediji Street, Bodija, from May 17 to May 20, 2021 and drew debate teams from all six South-West states.
The Oyo State team were first while debaters from Ogun and Ekiti states placed second and third respectively in the debate.

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) hospital has performed its first successful laparoscopic surgery on a 54 years old patient who had gall bladder stones.
The surgical team was led by Squadron Leader Ismail Tsauni of 063 Nigerian Air Force Hospital, Abuja.
Laparoscopy is an operation performed in the abdomen or pelvis using small incisions (usually 0.5–1.5 cm) with the aid of a camera. The laparoscope aids diagnosis or therapeutic interventions with a few small cuts in the abdomen.
Laparoscopic surgery, also called minimally invasive surgery (MIS), bandaid surgery, or keyhole surgery, is a modern surgical technique.

Nwachukwu Benedict has emerged winner of the Babcock University Students’ Association (BUSA) drawing competition 2021.
Quansah Mishaella emerged as second place winner while Ekpo Idongesit emerged as third place winner.
Nwachukwu Benedict receives ₦40,000, Mishaella receives ₦30,000 and Ekpo receives ₦20,000.
The participants made a video of themselves as they made their drawings.
The drawing competition was themed: “The effects of E-learning on students in Nigeria“.

Lawal Oluwaseun has emerged winner of the 2021 Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN) tax quiz competition.
Lawal Oluwaseun, a 100-Level student of the Department of Accounting at University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) beat four other contestants to win the contest, whose final round was held in Kaduna on May 21, 2021.
He also received a cash prize of ₦300,000, 11 taxation textbooks, and two desktop computers, one of which is to be presented to the school.
