Restoration High School, Yola has emerged overall winner of the 2026 Roseline Etuokwu Sigma National Secondary School Quiz Competition for Nigerian secondary schools announced by The Sigma Club of the University of Ibadan.
Restoration High School, Yola, came first, winning ₦5 million; The Ambassadors College, Ota, came second, winning ₦2 million; Global Kids Academy, Sokoto, came third, winning ₦1 million; ₦500,000 consolation prize was given to the other contesting schools.
The quiz competition, now in its sixth edition, is sponsored by the founder of RAMS Charity Foundation, Old Sigmite Victor Etuokwu.
The first stage (state stage) of the competition was held on January 17th, 2026; the second stage (regional stage) on February 17th, 2026; and the final (national stage) at the University of Ibadan on March 14th, 2026.
The students were tested on mathematics, English, and general knowledge.
The six schools that participated in the finals were: Restoration High School, Yola (north-east region), Global Kids Academy, Sokoto (north-west region), Federal Government College, Suleja (north-central region), Eggheads International Secondary School, Port Harcourt (south-south region), The Ambassadors College, Ota (south-west region), and Deeper Life High School (south-east region).
The Sigma Chief of the Sigma Club, Toyinbo Ayodeji, stated that over 1900 schools registered for this year’s edition of the competition, adding that it stands as a powerful testament to the club’s unwavering commitment to grassroots education.
The Sigma Chief revealed that since 2023, more than 5,000 schools have registered and participated in the 2026 Roseline Etuokwu Sigma National Secondary School Quiz Competition .
He appreciated Old Sigmite Victor Etuokwu and his foundation for their passion for education and love for the Nigerian academia.
The winning schools appreciated the Sigma Club and the RAMS Charity Foundation for the opportunity and platform given to them to showcase their skills and talents.
