Dr Maimunat Suleiman, a 27-year-old medical graduate has emerged as the overall best student at Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, (UDUS).
The university inducted 122 newly qualified doctors, which the University authorities said the 2025 induction was the largest medical graduation in UDUS history, reflecting expanded training capacity. State health officials from Sokoto and Kebbi assured the new doctors of available internship and employment opportunities.

Mujeebat Idris, a final-year Law student at Crescent University, Abeokuta, has won the seventh edition of the Alao Adavise National Essay Competition on privacy and data protection.
Her essay, titled “The Invisible Audience: Can Online Platforms Safeguard Youth Privacy?”, was selected as the best among over 300 entries submitted nationwide.
She received ₦350,000 as prize money.
