Loyola Jesuit College, Abuja and Deeper Life School, Akure have emerged first and second place winners respectively of the Mathematics for Life National Mathematics Competition in which over 200 schools across Nigeria participated.

The competition organised by Mathematics for Life Foundation is one of the activities adopted by the foundation for the promotion and advocacy of the study of mathematics in Nigeria.

Madumere Rejoice Ngozi Wins 2019 The Ultimate Mathematics Ambassador (TUMA) Competition

Madumere Rejoice Ngozi has emerged winner in the 2019 The Ultimate Mathematics Ambassador (TUMA) competition, Ota, Ogun State.

Ten-year-old Ngozi, a pupil of Giant Stride Nursery and Primary School, Ifo, competed with over 1,200 others from 408 schools in Ogun State and other neighbouring states.

With an impressive score of 93 percent, Madumere Rejoice Ngozi beat nine-year-old Enwere Kingsley Ikenna of Cuddly Kids School and 10-year-old Oyindamola Olawale Hann of Vickstell International School, Ikorodu who both emerged first and second runners up respectively.

Susan Chioma Obasi has obtained a First Class in Business Administration as well as emerged as the overall Best Graduating Student of Caritas University, Amorji-Nike in Enugu State, with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 4.81.

The 21-year-old attended Hillcrest Preparatory and Primary School, Nsukka, and Louisville Girls Secondary School, Old Kutunku in Gwagwalada, Abuja.

Aisha Abubakar and Ronke Salau have emerged the overall winners of the 2019 anti-corruption debate organized by the Human and Environmental Development Agenda (HEDA).

The anti-corruption debate competition was organized by the Human and Environmental Development Agenda (HEDA) in partnership with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC); Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission (ICPC); National Orientation Agency (NOA) and the Anti-Corruption Situation Room (ACSR).

Mbong Utibe Abasi Wins ICPC Anti-Corruption Essay Competition [2019]

Mbong Utibe Abasi from Imperial Secondary School, Eket, Akwa Ibom has won an Anti-Corruption Essay Competition organised by Independent Corrupt Practices & Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), in collaboration with Youth Alive Foundation.

Mbong Utibe Abasi emerged winner from 1,539 students who were mobilised in the clubs’ rejuvenation exercise out of which 392 drawn from Anti-Corruption Clubs in 126 Schools from Akwa Ibom, Kano, Lagos, River States, as well as Federal Capital Territory participated in the Essay Competition.

Team Neptune Wins InterswitchSPAK 1.0 Innovation Challenge

Team Neptune, a group of nine teenage students have emerged winners of the InterswitchSPAK 1.0 Innovation Challenge, for collaborating to develop a technological solution towards providing Nigerians with easier access to National Health Insurance.

Team Neptune, made up of nine SS2 students, were mentored by the trio of Princess Edo-Osagie, Inalegwu Alogwu and Abiodun Adebisi.  They were tasked to: “propose a solution that promotes an all-inclusive health insurance scheme in Nigeria, leveraging technology”. The team’s health solution, which incorporated the current National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), makes provision for web doctors for policy holders with access to the internet and tele-medicine option for those without access to the internet.

Nasarawa State University Wins 14th National Client Interview And Counselling Skills Competition 2019

Nasarawa State University has emerged the overall winner of the 14th edition of the annual National Client Interview and Counselling Skills Competition 2019.

Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, emerged first runner-up.

The two-day competition (11th – 12th January, 2019) was hosted by Network of University Legal Aid Institutions (NULAI) at the Sultan Maccido Institute of Islamic and General Studies, Kalambaina, Sokoto.

The National Client Interview and Counselling Skills Competition 2019, which was organised on the platform of NULAI and sponsored by Open Society Initiative, had in attendance 14 participants from across the six geo-political zones of Nigeria.
