Onyeizu Chinedu Develops Online Petrol Stock Monitoring App

A Nigerian petroleum engineer carrying out research work as a ‘Sloan Fellow’ in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Mr. Onyeizu Chinedu has developed an online real-time petrol stock monitoring application that can identify filling stations or oil marketers that hoard petroleum products.

The application can also help the government track and apprehend instances of products diversion, which is the greatest challenge in managing distribution of petrol in Nigeria.

NNPC Releases First Monthly Oil And Gas Report [2015]

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) have released their first monthly oil and gas report as promised by the new General Managing Director of the corporation Dr. Ibe Kachikwu.

The report which is in PDF covers the activities of the corporation for the months of January to August [2015]. It showcases activities and financial transactions in the upstream, midstream and downstream sector.

The Young Innovators Competition is an integral part of ITU Telecom World events and seeks gifted young entrepreneurs with ideas for innovative social enterprises, in response to a series of development challenges.
