Team LAUTECH has emerged first place winner of the UI-UNILAG WASH Hackathon 2022 held at the University of Lagos, Akoka.
The winning team from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, (LAUTECH) included Taoheed Oyewo, Coker John, Ibrahim Christopher, Parick Obumselu, and Victoria Akintayo.

25-year-old Miracle Izuchukwu has emerged as the youngest commercial Black female pilot in the United States of America (USA) on May 9, 2022.
Team Software Chasers has emerged winner of the 2022 Microsoft Agro-Tech Hackathon organised in collaboration with Sterling Bank, NITDA and TedPrime Hub.
Team Software Chasers comprised of a team of students from Usmanu Danfodiyo University, which was led by Muhammad Auwal Muktar, the current president of the National Association of Computing Students (NACOS) and also a 400 level student while the other two members were: Mudathir M. Salahudeen (Albany), a 400-level student, who was the developer of the team and the Assistant Secretary-General of (NACOS) and Saadu Salihu Abubakar (Sultan), a 300-level student and the Software Director.
The grand finale, which was held at the Microsoft Office, Lagos Nigeria featured 10 solutions by 27 Nigerian youths from Abuja FCT, Benue, Enugu, Jos, Kaduna, Lagos, Ogun, Osun, Oyo and Sokoto.

Winners have emerged in the NiRA 2022 .ng Awards, the fifth in the series, which was held in Lagos with twenty-two (22) private entities and four (4) public institutions, as well as six (6) individuals recognized.
The Nigeria Internet Registration Association (NiRA), is the registry for .ng Internet domain names and maintainers of the database of names registered in the .ng country code top level domain.
Paddy Cover and Pricepally have emerged winners of the 2022 Dubai World Trade Centre Lagos talent show with TruQ emerging the EIC and Lagos State winner.
The insuretech firm, Paddy Cover, co-founded by Mayowa Owolabi and Tobi Obasa, and the food sourcing and distribution tech firm, Pricepally, owned by Luther Lawoyin, as well as TruQ, owned by Williams Fatayo, beat 24 other contestants who pitched their ideas before six judges.
The two winners (Paddy Cover and Pricepally) will go on an all-expense-paid trip to Dubai to pitch their idea to over 400 investors and thousands of technology ecosystem players at the GITEX 2022 exhibition for a chance to win $200,000.

University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) has emerged winner of the 2022 Nigerian Genius Engineering Competition – receiving a cash prize of one million Naira.
Team UNN (Benstowe Destiny, Uzodinma Somto, David Okenwa) designed and built a Portable Water-Powered Electricity Generator that can be installed in every home with an overhead water tank.
It also includes an Energy Management System, which monitors and displays power generation, consumption and reserve.
Forty-five (45) tertiary institutions were shortlisted for the competition and egineering students representing four (4) tertiary institutions in Nigeria competed in the finals of the competition in Aba.
