Obiageri Amaechi Wins Women’s Discus Throw At 2024 Oklahoma Throws Series #11

Obiageri Amaechi has set a new Personal Best (PB) for the fourth time this year, winning the women’s Discus Throw at the 2024 Oklahoma Throws Series #11 with a 63.17 meters throw.

The African Games Champion further solidified her position as number two on the Nigerian all-time list, defeating Julia Tunks who got a PB of 62.07 meters.

Chinecherem Prosper Nnamdi Wins Men’s Javelin Throw At 2024 NCAA West Regionals In Arkansas

Chinecherem Prosper Nnamdi has won the men’s javelin throw event at the 2024 NCAA West Regionals in Arkansas with a throw of 82.54 meters.

That’s the biggest throw in the NCAA this year and his second best behind his National Record of 82.80 meters at the African Games.

He also got 82.46 meters in his series and is gearing up nicely for the NCAA Championships, which he has now qualified for.

Stephen Eloji Wins 110mH And 400mH Events At 2024 C-USA Outdoor Championships In El Paso

Stephen Eloji has emerged winner of the men’s 110mH And 400mH events at the 2024 C-USA Outdoor Championships in El Paso.

In the 110mH, he ran the fastest all-conditions time ever by a Nigerian, clocking a very fast and windy 13.28 seconds (+3.5) to win by over half a second. Hendrick Hundl was a far second in 14.02 seconds.

He also won the 400mH in dominating fashion, clocking 51.69 seconds.

Nnadozie Chiamaka Becomes First African To Win National Union Of Professional Footballers Award For Best Goalkeeper In France

In the French women’s top division, Nnadozie Chiamaka became the first African to win the National Union of Professional Footballers award for best goalkeeper.

Nnadozie received recognition for her 2023–24 season-long brilliant performances for Paris FC.
