Team Nigeria Under-18 Girls Win 2023 International Handball African Championship

Nigeria’s under-18 girls’ handball team have emerged winners of the 2023 International Handball African championship title in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.

The team defeated Guinea 33-18 to clinch the title.

The girls also qualified for the International Handball Federation Trophy Intercontinental phase.

Nigeria will now represent Africa in the intercontinental phase of the Handball championship.

 

Team Nigeria Wins Inaugural African Admiral Porbeni Canoe Race Championships

Team Nigeria has emerged as the overall winner of the maiden African Admiral Porbeni Canoe Race championships in Abuja.

The championships, which also served as an Olympics pre-qualifier event began on July 27, 2023 ended on July 30, 2023 at the Jabi Boat Club, Abuja.

No fewer than 100 athletes from five African countries including, Ghana, Senegal, Sao Tome and Principe, Togo and host Nigeria took part in the four-day event.
