17-year-old Joy Ojo of Ijaiye Housing Estate Senior High School emerged as the Overall Best Athlete of the national final

The budding star won three gold medals in 100 meters, 200 meters and 4x 100 meters race to become the first winner of the major prize and earn for herself a scholarship to any Federal University of choice.

Force Headquarters (FHQ) Abuja has emerged as the overall winner of the Nigeria Police Games tagged “Anambra 2020” held on the 7th of March 2020.

Force Headquarters (FHQ) Abuja won a total of 274 medals comprising of 118 gold, 80 silver and 74 bronze to top the overall medals table to relegate defending champions Zone 2 to 2nd place with 230 medals.

Team Nigeria Emerge Overall Winners At Abuja 2020 Para-powerlifting World Cup Tournament

Team Nigeria have emerged overall winners at the Abuja 2020 Para-powerlifting World Cup tournament held between February 5 – 7, 2020.

Team Nigeria won a total of 13 gold, 8 silver and 7 bronze medals.

The Abuja 2020 Para-powerlifting World Cup Tournament also served as qualifiers for the Tokyo 2020 Summer Paralympic Games.

At the end of the competition, Egypt and Brazil emerged first and second runners-up with 3 gold, 6 silver & 3 bronze medals and 3 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze medals respectively.

Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti has emerged champions of the 20th Nigeria Polytechnic Games Association (NIPOGA), with a total of 21 Gold, 18 Silver and 31 Bronze medals.

Lagos State Polytechnic (Laspotech), Ikorodu came second with 19 Gold, 24 Silver and 27 Bronze medals in the one-week-long event which was hosted by Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin.
