Damilola Sholademi Wins Gold Medal At 2024 Indoor Archery State Championship, USA

Damilola Sholademi has won a gold medal at the 2024 Indoor Archery State Championship, held in New Hampshire, USA.

Sholademi, a member of the Nigerian National Archery team, also ranked first-place at the Indoor Nationals hosted in Fisdale, Massachussettes.

Both competitions held on the 10th – 11th and 23rd – 25th February, 2024 respectively.

As part of the preparation for this year’s outdoor archery competition season, members of the Nigerian archery team have actively commenced training and participation in major archery events around the world to compete with the finest to ensure that they are at the top of their game.

Damilola Sholademi, who is an elite member of the ARCH Archery Club, Abuja, started his archery career during the Covid-19 lockdown in 2020, and has since become a household name in the Nigerian archery community after winning at national championships and winning numerous medals along with the team for Nigeria at the African Championships in 2022 and 2023. He is currently ranked 7th in compound bow in Africa and the highest ranked archer in Nigeria across all bow categories.

He, alongside the members of the national team, Emmanuel Oyekele (Captain), Olatayo Olasehinde, Kachollom Enyenihi and Rotimi Williams have promised to continue to contribute to the development of archery in Nigeria and make the country proud in the coming years.
