Dr. Christianah Bola Onigbogi Awarded Exceptional Service Award By Chartered Insurance Institute Of London [2020]

Dr. Christianah Bola Onigbogi has been awarded with the Exceptional Service Award by the Chartered insurance Institute of London [2020].

The notice of the distinguished Award was forwarded with a letter conveying the certificate and plaque to Bola Onigbogi (the President of the Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers – NCRIB) jointly signed by the President of the Institute, Nick Turner and the CEO, Sian Fisher to Onigbogi.

Dr. Christianah Bola Onigbogi was selected from the over twenty thousand applicants for the award, in view of her outstanding professional and leadership accomplishments as an ACII holder.

The award bears eloquent testimony to the outstanding leadership qualities and unselfish devotion of Onigbogi to the course of the insurance industry in Nigeria and notably as President of the NCRIB.

Since her assumption of office as the 20th President, Onigbogi has strived to redefine the focus of the Council, based on her twin thrusts of office namely: image building and strategic engagements, for which she has continued to receive resounding plaudits from members.

She is also the chief executive of CBO Insurance Brokers Limited.

Other winners included: Dionne Wall, mortgage adviser for Financial Options, who was named Emerging Professional of the Year. Juliet Halfacre, senior business developer at Allianz Engineering, and Michael Kevin Clementson, head of agriculture Crawford & Co Adjusters Ltd, received the Outstanding Award; and Dr. Christianah Bola Onigbogi, chief executive of CBO Insurance Brokers Ltd, received the Exceptional Award.

Winners of the Distinguished Award in recognition of service to the insurance industry were:  David Oram, technical head office class underwriter at NFU, Hannah Kate Smith, chief of staff at Lloyd’s; Christopher Henley, head of wording at Tokio Marine Kiln; Steven Clemence, director and financial planner at T H March & Co. Limited; and Charlotte Watts, associate director of energy and mining at Aon Singapore.

According to Sian Fisher, the CEO of Chartered Insurance Institute (CII):

“It is vital the efforts of those working to raise standards and build trust in the insurance and personal finance profession continues to be recognised.

Due to COVID-19, the trophies that accompany these awards couldn’t be handed out at a ceremony this year but I hope during these challenging times our more than 129,000 members are inspired by the work that warranted these awards and will join me in virtually applauding the winner’s efforts.”
