In an attempt to objectively assess the safety of foreigners in Nigeria, kindly share occurrences of risk to the safety of foreigners in Nigeria.

This can include links to attempted harm, robbery, physical assault, offenses against property/businesses, kidnapping and death only within Nigeria.

Occurrences of risk to the safety of foreigners in Nigeria from 17 December 2016 to 26 December 2017, 11:00pm.

Four Chinese nationals were kidnapped by a gang of sea pirates. They were however rescued by men of the Nigerian Army and Nigerian Naval Forward Operating Base (FOB).

Occurrences of risk to the safety of foreigners in Nigeria from 01 January, 2018 to 28 January, 2018, 09:00pm.

Two Americans and two Canadians were kidnapped in Kaduna. There were however rescued by Combined teams of Intelligence Response Team IRT, Counter Terrorism Unit CTU and Kaduna Police Command.

1. A Syrian businessman, Ahmad Abu Arida was shot dead in kano while trying to resist the kidnapping of his son who was eventually kidnapped
