Millard Fuller Foundation Wins Affordable Housing Award 2017

For the second consecutive year, the Millard Fuller Foundation has won the award for the Affordable Housing Project of the Year 2017 at the 11th Abuja Housing Show/Nigeria Housing Awards organised by FESADEB Communications.

The award was set up to encourage competition and competitive pricing in the Housing Construction Industry and to recognize the efforts of both established and up-coming organization in the Housing/Construction Sector in Nigeria.

Speaking before the award presentation, Dr. Kunle Faleti, Chairman, Board of Directors, FESADEB Communications, thanked all present, and also reiterated the fact the process through which the awardees emerged was a “rigorous” one.

It can be recalled that the Millard Fuller Foundation won the Award for the Affordable Housing Project Of The Year at the 10th Abuja Housing Show in 2016, which also coincided with its 10th Anniversary. An affordable housing organisation with its headquarters in Luvu Madaki, a community in Masaka, Nasarawa State, the Millard Fuller Foundation presently partners with the Family Homes Funds, an initiative of the Federal Ministry of Finance to deliver affordable homes to low income earners in Nigeria. With over 200 housing units comprising of 1 and 2-bedroom semi-detached units fully completed which sell from 2.5m, the Millard Fuller Foundation has also commenced the construction of 400 additional units of 1 and 2-bedrooms which are due to be completed before the end of the year.

FESADEB Communications, organisers of the yearly Abuja Housing Show, hosts The Nigeria Housing Awards in recognition and celebration of original and innovative contractors, businesses, teams, consultants and projects that demonstrate excellence in the built environment.
