CHICKEN CHANGE

Chika earns a good salary working for an NGO. She has a couple of children she takes care of.  She would cook for them and give them some pocket money.

This is not much, but she makes sure everybody is happy. When she’s away, They talk about the chicken change she gives them that is not enough to take care of their luxury.

In my opinion, I said to them it doesn’t matter how much you are being given, money is money. When someone gives you money, it cost them something. You either accept or reject an offer. That’s it.

DIRTY SLAP

It is easy for someone to say they would give you a dirty slap when you’ve offended them. Especially bullies who love to bully others.

In my compound at Kaduna before dad finally built a new house, Saturday my neighbors’ son would yell at the younger sister whenever she flops. She doesn’thave to be deliberate. He would say “I would give you a dirty slap if you don’t adjust.

Should we do this? I think it is unhealthy to tell people such words. Words are seeds and they take people up or bring them down. Watch what you say.

EYE SERVICE

Peter would leave home leaving the plates unwashed. He does this daily. When visitors come around, he would take these plates and wash. He would never do that when visitors are not around in the house.

His mother advises him to wash plates willfully without doing such only when visitors come around.

Eye service is unethically wise,it is a character default. We must learn to do  every work with cheerfully.

Work on yourself and do every assignment given to you with zeal and passion. Do it as you would do it unto thy God.
