Winners (Nigerians) have emerged at the 2024 NM Collegiate Classic.

Ella Onojuvwevwo and Tima Godbless both competed at the NM Collegiate Classic, winning their respective 200 meters races. Onojuvwevwo who ran a 400 meters personal best (PB) of 52.53 seconds the previous week, ran another PB, clocking 23.51 seconds ahead of Kennedy Gamble in 24.10 seconds. Strapped in, Godbless also won her race in 23.78 seconds, her first official 200 meters for LSU.
Samuel Ogazi starts his NCAA career on a high. In his opener for Alabama, he clocked a time of 46.30 seconds to win section 2 of the men’s 400 meters at the NM Collegiate Classic, his first indoor race ever ahead of Willington Wright who ran 46.37 seconds. Ogazi’s time was also good enough to place him second across all sections.
