Anambra State Wins President’s Inter-Secondary Schools Debate Championship 2022

The Anambra state debate team has won the President’s Inter-Senior Secondary Schools debate championship 2022 and would be representing Nigeria at the World Schools Debate championship in Vietnam, in 2023.

The President’s Inter-Senior secondary schools debate championship is an annual debate championship organized by the Presidency for all States across Nigeria.

The President’s Inter-Senior Secondary Schools debate championship 2022 took place in Abuja between 14th to 17th of November 2022.

The grand finale held at the main hall of LAPO Institute for Microfinance and Management Studies in Benin City on November 18, 2022.

University Preparatory Secondary School (UPSS) finished with a total of 60 points.

Nigeria have emerged winner of the Basel Institute on Governance 2022 Outstanding Achievement in Collective Action Award in November 2022.

The collaborative efforts of the Federal Government of Nigeria with the private sector and a civil society group, Convention on Business Integrity (CBI), to curb corruption at the sea-ports earned the international praise and won the first ever “Outstanding Achievement in Collective Action Award” of Switzerland-based Basel Institute on Governance.
