Udodi Onwuzurike Sets New Records At 2022 Stanford Invitational In USA

Udodi Onwuzurike has set new records by breaking Stanford University’s freshman records in both the 100 and 200 meters races in his collegiate debut running 10.14 seconds in the 100 meters preliminary and topping it that with a 10.07 seconds in the final, which is No. 2 in America this year.

The 19-year-old World under-20 champion as a result of the feat earned his first Track Athlete of the week award after his phenomenal performance at the Stanford Invitational last weekend at Cobb Track and Angell Field in USA.

His time is the fastest by an under-20 in the world this year while he finished ahead of Japanese Yuki Koike in 10.31s and Alonzo Floriolli in 10.47 seconds.

Nigerian Customs Men & Women Teams Emerge Champions Of 2022 Volleyball Super Cup

Nigerian Customs men and women teams have emerged champions of the 2022 Volleyball Super Cup held at the national Stadium, Surulere on April 9, 2022.

The two teams won all their games in the competition.

Offa Volleyball Club finished second after winning four out of their five games, losing only to Customs with Kada Kings finishing third in the men’s event.

In the Women’s event, COAS Volleyball Club finished second as Immigration Volleyball Club emerged third.

Winners Of 2022 Huawei ICT Regional Competition

Two Nigerian teams have emerged winners of the grand prizes in the Network and Cloud tracks of the 2022 Huawei ICT Regional Competition.

The University of Port Harcourt team comprising of Udochi Danielle, Ushuta Anthony and Adebayo S. Oluwafemi won in the Networking category.

Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria’s team comprising of Micah B. Shallom, Yunus Abdullahi and Aliyu Isah won the Cloud category.

For the Innovation track, Amadu Bello University took the third place.

Team Bayelsa Win Inaugural National Para Games

Team Bayelsa have emerged champions of the inaugural National Para Games after winning a total of 93 medals which held on April 16, 2022 in Abuja.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Team Bayelsa won 31 gold, 30 silver and 32 bronze medals to win the seven-day event held at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium.
