Winners Of 2021 Euromoney Africa Awards For Excellence

Winners have emerged at the 2021 Euromoney Africa Awards for Excellence, which was announced on July 14, 2021.

Euromoney magazine was created in 1969 to cover the re-emergence of the international cross-border capital markets.

The Magazine’s Awards for Excellence celebrates the best banks around the world by recognizing institutions that have demonstrated leadership, innovation, and momentum in the markets they operate. In selecting its award recipients, Euromoney combines quantitative and qualitative data to honor institutions that have brought the highest levels of service, innovation, and expertise to their customers.

Daniel Adeniyi and Josiah Ati have emerged overall joint winners of the 2021 edition of the Committee of Deans of Engineering and Technology of Nigerian Universities’ (CODET) National Engineering Project Competition.

Bayelsa United have emerged champions of the 2021 Federation Cup, also known as Aiteo Cup on the 9th of August 2021.

Nigeria National League (NNL) club Bayelsa United won the Aiteo Cup for the first time edging out NPFL side Nasarawa United 4-3 on penalties at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City.

Temilolu Fosudo Wins 4th Beeta Playwright Competition

Temilolu Fosudo has emerged winner of the 4th Beeta Playwright Competition organised by Beeta Universal Arts Foundation at the grand finale held at the MUSON Centre, Onikan, Lagos on 4th of August 2021.

Temilolu Fosudo received 10 million Naira as prize money from the sponsors for his play titled: “Black Dust”.

Kalayingi John-Africa’s Orchid, made her the first runner-up while the second runner-up was Ibukun Fasunhan who entered with the play, Beertanglement and like Fosudo, had reached the final stage of the competition in 2020.

Others in the shortlist include: Adesewa Akinyemi’s Your Nemesis, Chinazom Otubelu’s The Old Man Must Obey, Yemi Akande’s Flowers Will Smile Again, Gladys A. Nwaokoma’s Ya Gazie, Nyakno James’ Gaddo, Ifeoma Igwe’s Aye Wale and Olaide Mohammed’s The Indigent on the Throne.
