The 2022 Cliff Agba Art Contest is organized to recognize and honor the life of Mr. Cliff Izuchukwu Agba on the occasion of his birthday on January 5, 2022.

The online art event is also aimed at promoting and celebrating the beauty and importance of art in various spheres.

Eligibility and expectation(s):

1. Open to everyone
2. One (1) art submission per person/participant
3. Participation is free – at no cost to the participants
4. Timelines (GMT +1; Nigerian time or West African Time - WAT)
5. PositiveNaija Team (excluding Volunteers) and the Judges are not eligible.
6. Must be original, creative, clear, etc. Use of softwares are prohibited.
7. Drawing (monochrome): pencils, pen, charcoal, graphite, lead, conté.
8. Painting (wet or dry): any medium

January 5, 2021 | 9:00 pm - 9:30 pm | Drawing (Human figure)

February 5, 2021 | 9:00 pm - 9:30 pm | Painting (Landscape)

March 5, 2021 | 9:00 pm - 9:30 pm | Drawing (Human figure)

April 5, 2021 | 9:00 pm - 9:30 pm | Quiz (Nigerian art)

Event guidelines:

• The contest will be done on the PositiveNaija Forum.
• On the designated dates/time for the contest, the task (image) to be drawn or painted will be presented. On or before the tasks (images) are uploaded, only the Editor-in-Chief of PositiveNaija is aware of it (not even the Judges).
• Submission of the drawn or painted work is to be done, taken a good photo of and uploaded within the 30-minute timeframe.
• When submitting, ensure that your full name (first and last names) as well as the date are written on your art sheet.
• For the quiz section, answer questions by only stating the Question Number(s) and correct/preferred answer alphabet option. For example: 1. B ; 2. A ; 3. C ; etc.
• For the quiz section, 80 questions to be answered within 30 minutes.
• The time is 9:00 pm – 9:30 pm; submissions from 9:31:00 pm will be nullified.
• If you edit your post containing your submission, that edited time will be taken/noted as the time in which you made your submission.
• To participate, register on the PositiveNaija Forum with your username being your full names (same as your bank account name – should you win).
• Winners are declared based on the most awarded points by the judges (four) who shall each independently grade (/10). Grading is based on a total of 40 points.
• For the quiz section, winners are declared based on the most correct answers in the fastest time.
• Winners will be communicated with to provide their account details towards receiving their prize through their email addresses used in registering.
• PositiveNaija on behalf of Cliff Agba sends to the winners their reward.

Reward [Cash Prize]:

• 1^st prize (first position) per edition/month: ₦10,000.
