TRUE TALK: "THE IMPORTANCE OF AFRICAN CULTURE".

The importance of African culture na like golden thread wey dey weave through our identity. African culture, e get power wey fit light up our life. E dey important make we talk true about how e dey shape our identity. E carry ogbonge significance for shaping who we be. From our diverse languages, wey be true reflection of our roots, to our vibrant traditions and art, African culture na source of pride and strength. African culture dey waka with rich history wey carry sense.

Our proverbs and wise sayings na like ancient wisdom wey our people don gather through generations. Dem carry knowledge wey fit guide us through life challenges. E dey important make we yarn true about this, so our youth fit tap into dis well of wisdom. dem na like gold wey our ancestors bury for ground.

Our art, whether for carving, painting, or beadwork, tell stories wey dey preserve our history and values.

As we dey talk true, make we dey proud of our unique gele styles, the way we cook jollof rice, and the sweet rhythm wey dey our music. Na our culture be the true sauce wey spice up our life.

Mama Funke just dey comot from inside dey come outside, when the gbege happen. Na the talk talk wey happen that day be this :

Ade : Omo who cun put soup for here na!!

Mama Funke : E be like say you never take your agbò today ba! You better enter shop, find how you go prepare my soup

The importance of African culture dey shine like the morning sun wey dey rise for di east. E be like ogbonge treasure wey dey hold di true identity of di people wey dey dis land. Pidgin language, na one sure way we fit yarn di story of dis culture for ogbonge style.

African culture, e no just dey for di history books, e dey for di way we waka, di way we knack our dance, and di way we gather for celebrations. E be di root wey connect us, make us sabi where we come from, and show us where we fit dey go.

African culture na like key wey unlock di past, wey help keep di memory of different societies. Through yarns wey dem yarn, folklore, and rites, communities dey pass knowledge from one generation to another.

Di way wey people dey do things for African culture dey important for how community take relate. Shared rites, ceremonies, and celebrations help to bring people together, e make dem feel say dem belong and get unity.

African culture na like fountain wey dey give inspiration and creativity. E don spread reach different art wey dey global. The color, pattern, and theme wey African art get, e dey show for world stage.

Correct Tori, get one story wey show why African culture dey important for our community. For one small village, Papa Nathan gather im pikin dem every evening to yarn for backyard.

One time, Papa Nathan talk about how our African culture be our roots wey fit give us power for this life. E yarn about respect, love, and unity. E talk say, "Our culture na our ID card, and e get power wey fit make us strong."

As Papa Nathan dey yarn, small pikin like Chide, Ebube, and Chuks dey listen well-well. Dem learn how to respect elders, speak their language, and love where dem come from.

Later, the community come join hand organize cultural festival to show their traditions. People wear colorful clothes, dance to good music, and chop local food. Na so the true spirit of our culture shine well-well.

From that day, the pikin dem dey proud of their culture. Correct Tori, African culture na our pride and strength.

Dem carry this lesson waka go far and wide, and the village shine like star for Africa map. True talk, our culture na treasure wey we suppose hold tight.

Our elders dey talk say dog make fail to listen to the whistle of the hunter go lost.

After SSCE, Emeka think say he don arrive. He papa advise am say make him join am for him carpentry workshop till next year make him go collect JAMB. Emeka as per big boy dey shame because him rich former classmates dey always dey pass the street where him papa shop dey. Emeka no gree hear him papa, him start moving with the rich kids

One day, one of Emeka friends show am one video make one person dey do like mad person. Emeka ask say wetin the person swallow, make dey make am dey do anyhow. Him friend laughed, call am small boy and tell am say na "colos" dey work for the guy body. Emeka don forget say na curiosity dey kill the cat, he ask say wetin they dey call colos. Him friend say they no dey explain the thing say make him follow go one birthday party make go happen that night, say na for there Emeka go know wetin be colos.

Night come, Emeka dey happy like man make wan go marry new wife. As he reach there with him guys, they first dey flex,  all of them except Emeka dey "enjoy" themselves. After some time, Emeka no wan be like say him different, he wan belong. Na so him join them, before you know, Emeka dey feel weak, him eyes dey close small small, him friends dey laugh am as JJC. Ten minutes no reach make Emeka die. Up till today Emeka papa dey tell young people around am about him late son say na talk from our elders be the "true talk", try dey listen.

"Them talk say African culture get ground for good morals.  Different beliefs and customs wey people must do to live long and values wey go make them be responsible person for society. "

Na so i kon they think how African culture and morals take relate.

The tori wey i hear about one sister for my street make me believe the talk above. For that street no body small or big wey that sister cannot greet especially old people whether she sabi them or not. She no fit pass una side make she no sama you greeting.

Na one day she go for interview for a position wey get big benefit in one popular company like that.  She siddon ready for interview and enter the oga office.  Them no finish the interview when one old baba enter the office. The baba na CEO but he no come work everytime only for special occasions.  He kon join them do the interview for new staff wey dem one employ.

Make I no long the story the baba be one of the person wey the lady they greet everyday. Naso the baba take recognize her.  He shouted ah my daughter you come interview.  Naso he turned to the panel and say this lady na hardworking person give am the job.  Sebi na im  get the company.  Immediately naso the aunty take get job.

You see wetin wey greeting do for am. Apart from greetings  African culture get values wey dey shape person life.

na di fess time wey teni travel outside d kontry to go forda her studies. As she enter her lecture hall Sidon, one girl wey fine wel wel come rush enta d hall as she see d lecturer enta. Everybody start to shout, dey hail am with one fine title like dat. Teni lok the girl wel com see say she wear one fine Ankara gown. Latter afta d class she com go met the girl to ask am if she be Nigeria nd y people dey hail am like that.

D girl com smile, hug teni, den explain to am say she be Ninja too nd dem dey hail am becos of the Ninja dishes she dey prepare for the skul canteen, Her naija dresses and crafts. D students love d food despite d fact say dem be white.

Teni com dey reason how culture fit make persin turn celeb. She bin no value culture before but now she don see say culture dey interesting nd also beneficial becos people love to dey see new tins nd try new tins everyday. So wen dey see rich culture wey get both initiative and healthy benefits, Dem go value am.
Culture fit bring people of different race together becos of the capacity wey e get to attract nd encite people. E also dey important to learn culture so dat persin fit interact nd easily fin help anyway you see ur tribe persin anywhere  for di world.

Tonight, we go yarn about why African Culture dey important like water for our lives and why our Culture na like ogbono soup wey dey spice up our existence. Oya, make we sabi why our culture dey crucial.

Firstly, our Culture na like our own school of wisdom. From the proverbs wey our people talk, we fit learn how to do well for this life. No be small thing, if you sabi say "Rat wey follow lizard enter rain, na later é go hear am" and say "Akara and moi moi get the same parent, na wetin dem pass through make dem different." Na our culture teach us say make we get sense.

Secondly, our culture na our identity, e be like our DNA. E show where we come from, e yarn the story of our ancestors and how we fit waka jeje for this earth. If we throwey our culture, e be like say we throwey our own self. No be so?

Thirdly, na our Culture lecture us say make we no forget our traditional values. Make we respect our elders, make we get sense of community, and make we get the spirit of togetherness. E dey make us strong like iron wey don pass through fire.

The land of Africa they practice different cultures like, the way them take they eat food, the way dem take dey wear clothes, how them dey take they dance and plenty other cultures wey them they do.

One better culture wey l like well we'll na how Africa people take dey respect elderly people. As Africans,our culture dey very rich for respect for people and people wey pass us, even those wey dey for power. For African culture we believe say elderly people supposed get respect from people wey them dey ahead of. Oyibo people no mind those wey senior them and them fit do anyhow wey them like to people wey senior them bui for our culture, we wey be African people, na bad thing to disrespect people wey senior us.

‘Charlie get one lecturer for FUTO where he do Bsc. This lecturer tell am make he help with some research and script marking without money. Normally, no pikin go answer that kind request but Charlie see am as opportunity to help him lecturer. When he finish, the lecturer ask am why he never go for him masters. When Charlie tell am about the GRE score, the lecturer tell am make he no worry, say he dey recognized by top schools for Obodo Oyibo. Tari, na one fine Nigerian babe wey waka go America, form say she be city geh. She begin wear all those oyibo fine fine clothes, forget say she be Naija babe. No more pounded yam, now na pizza and burger she dey chow.

One day for obodo oyibo, Tari con jam one kain njiri blouse wey her grandmama give her before she fly go America. That cloth just carry her mind go back to Naija, e begin dey remind her of sweet tins for her kontri.

That night, as she dey sleep, her dream land put am for Naija. Her ancestors just show for dream, begin yarn about Naija culture.

Tari say she no fit carry last, she con pack her load, rush go back Naija. One day, she just waka go one festival for her village, see small pikin wey dey do Owigiri dance. As dem dey dance, e be like say groove just enter her body. Na so she begin vibe with di music, her soul just burst with joy.

She come realize say her culture na im be her source of happiness, and she no fit forget am. With happiness, Tari begin dance con remember di "True Talk"- the importance of her culture. Na so she promise herself say she go always celebrate and dey proud of her Naija heritage.

The elders for one village called Eganyi village vex well well one day kon report one big mata to their king say their children no wan dey follow their fore fore fathers' culture again.

The King ask the youth if the matta na true and the youth leader Adeiza Kon stand speak all the youth mind say, "king na true talk you been hear o," "and I get one question, if onyibo culture pass our own why we still dey follow our own, make we follow who know road. ahbi no be so my people?" Na so all the youth shout "True talk!"

 

The King hear the matta Kon reply dem say, "Adeiza, you and your youth, all of una Don talk una mind, but no be true talk at all. Onyibo culture good but that one no mean say our culture bad, we select good things for their culture no mean say we go throwway our own. Inside our culture better things choke, unity, humility, honour for elders, better food wey sweet, better dance, better songs, better proverbs wey dey give human bin sense, better better clothes wey dey cover body well."

Wen King don finish, both elders and the youth Kon happy well well and all of Dem say "na wetin king talk be the real True talk! African culture no dey inferior, we no go throwway our culture, good things plenty inside."

Dem get one small village wey dem dey call Otuoke. The village dey inside Edo state. This village get population wey be sey for festive period, village go full as people go come home con celebrate with their families.

This village get their own customs and traditions wey dey unique and hin dey teach good morals. Their culture dey interesting wey their fore-fathers don dey practice before now but because sey some of them dey live for city dey don see how life be there if dey con come village dey go dey condemn their culture sey na local practices, so teh their village elders con call them together dey give them advice sey na their culture be these,sey dem no fit bring other people culture put for their own sey their culture dey unique and na wetin dem dey practice since birth wey dey work for them till now sey make dem dey practice their own culture sey e get gain wey dey ama despite these advice dem no take to am o, dem kuma abandon their traditions because sey all those elders wey dey caution them no kuma dey again.

Na so dem take bring immoral practices wey dey very bad con mix am with their culture, respect for elders no kuma dey again, teenagers dey born pikin , something wey be sey na abomination for their culture, live con dey difficult for them.

Christmas don dey reach wey make everybody dey shine eye like rat wey chop poison. Make we dey calm down first, make we no go carry the money wey we save from January give people wey dey find quick money. Remember say na Jesus birthday we dey celebrate, no be your own.

 

Na him make I dey thank God say my community no dey too do gara-gara for this season because na new yam festival be our own Christmas. No be say we no dey celebrate Christmas, but new yam festival na our culture, na him make we no dey joke with am.

Many many years ago for Umunumu village, under the moon light na im papa Chukwudi wey be di village elder call all the pikin for the community say make dem come say im get better "true talk" for them about their culture.

As the children Dem gather, papa Chukwudi told them their ancient African story and Proverbs, kon yarn dem true life Tori about their fore fathers and their power and sense. mama chuwudi be clothe Weaver, im come bring clothes wey ancentors dey wear show them why dey make am different material and colour say na so unity beautiful, say the clothe show say with different people for community, if unity dey, di village go fine well well.

The children hear many wise proverbs, beat local drums, danced well and enjoyed their African culture.

At the end Papa Chukwudi shout African culture good well well and ee dey sweet well well, all the children kon shout say "na true talk!". The community prospered very well and fast.

Oh!Africa my papa and mama land . My people, Africa get penty culture we threm dey practice. The way wey my people Africans take dey live their lives many well 'well. Make l just yan torey small about it.

For African culture,we believe and we dey do many things like the way we take dey make the food wey we dey eat, how we take dey celebrate some festival like yam festival, fishing festival and other boku things.

When the time of the festival don reach people of the land go come out and dance, eat together to show say we dey United together. Even those we dey oyibo land go come home come celebrate the festival together. Na the time we every body dey always come home for the village where they born them. For this kind festival, masquerade go come out and everybody go dance, drink and eat food well well until everyone go dey okay.

Another thing wey l like African culture forna how Africa people take dey work hard. No lazy person for Africa because our culture no welcome it. Every African man dey farm well well and dem dey do other job like carpenter, bricklayer, wash motor car to make sure say them survive..

To conclude am for matter, African culture pass every other cultures for this world because na the only culture wey welcome unity among everybody for every parts of the world.

African Culture dey very important so tey we no fit talk am finish. Na im be di backbone wey dey carry our heritage, our values, and our true identity. E get plenty importance wey we suppose look well-well.

Our culture na di ogbonge way we fit show di world who we be. From di way we dey yarn, to di way we dey dress, and even di way we dey waka, e dey shout who we be. No be say we go forget our roots, because na from dia we fit waka shine for di world.

Our African Culture dey show as e connect us for beta relationship wit our brothers and sisters. For celebrations, for weddings, and for other cultural events, we fit feel di unity wey our culture bring. If we lose am, we fit lose dis togetherness and sense of belonging.
