Isaac Fredrick Sunday Wins 2019 Nigerian Content Development And Monitoring Board (NCDMB) Essay Competition

Isaac Fredrick Sunday has emerged overall winner of the 2019 Nigerian Content Development And Monitoring Board (NCDMB) Essay Competition.

The 3rd edition of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) Annual National Undergraduate Nigerian Content Essay Competition Award and Prize giving ceremony was held in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.

The topic of the essay competition: ‘Nigeria’s local content policy and its impact on sustainable economic value creation’.

Isaac Fredrick Sunday, a 200 level undergraduate student of Medical and Rehabilitation, University of Nigeria, Enugu State, receives 500,000 Naira and a laptop computer.

The joint 2nd position and 1st runners up at the 3rd edition of the Nigerian Content Development And Monitoring Board (NCDMB) Essay Competition was won by Melex Tamaradoubrah Favour, 200 level undergraduate student of Medical Laboratory Science, Rivers State University, Rivers State and Nater Akpen,  a 200 level undergraduate student of Medical student, Benue State University, Benue State.

They both won a cash prize of 300,000 Naira and laptop computer.

The 4th position was won by Zeenat Magaji, a 200 level undergraduate student of Cyber Security Science, Federal University of Technology, Minna, Niger State. She was presented with a cash prize of 50,000 Naira and a laptop computer

Other finalists include: Omotoya Ajibola, a 100 level undergraduate student of Law, University of Ibadan, Oyo State; Unaman Melchizedek Fortune, a student of Computer Science, Abubakar Tafewa Balewa University, Bauchi; Ojo Bayo Elijah, a student of Law, University of Ibadan; Olutola Owolabi, a 200 level undergraduate student of Medicine and Surgery, University of Ibadan, Oyo State.

The NCDMB Annual National Undergraduate Oil & Gas Essay Competition sponsored by NCDMB is is open to 100 and 200 level students only and is designed to promote the Nigerian Content (NC) initiative and create the awareness for Nigerians to build local capacity to participate effectively in Nigerian’s Oil and Gas industry. It is designed to promote academic excellence amongst undergraduates in public and private tertiary institutions in Nigeria.

It is also meant to create awareness for Nigerians, especially the youths, who are indeed the real drivers of the Nigerian content initiatives.
