Winners Of JETS Competition; SDGs Competition for Junior Girls; World Science Day Competition & Y2020 Robotics Competition (State Finals) [2021]

Winners have emerged in four major competitions held in Abuja between 27th February and 15th March 2021, following their participation in the National Junior Engineers, Technicians, and Scientists, (JETS) competition; Sustainable Development Goals Competition for Junior Girls; World Science Day Competition and Y2020 Robotics Competition (State Finals) [2021].

National JETS Competition

The Lagos State team won ten (10) trophies and eleven (11) medals in the National JETS Competition in various categories.

Felicia Kubode from Government Senior College, Ajara, emerged as Best National Female JETS student and clinched the Second Position in Technology while Olaleye Abdu Rahman of Taqwa Private School made First, Second and Third Positions in Primary Computer, Primary Science and Technology respectively. Okocha Emmanuel from Shasha Community School clinched the First Position in Computer Science.

The team also emerged First runner-up in the National Theme Project through Adeboye Folarin and Clare Eyimoro of Doregos Private School. Okegbola Treasure of Eva Adelaja Girls Junior School, Bariga, emerged Third in Basic Science, while the Lagos State Team emerged as Second overall best in the Federation, and also won other prizes.

Sustainable Development Goals Mathematics Competition for Junior Girls

In the Sustainable Development Goals Mathematics Competition for Junior Girls, the State Team clinched the Second and Third Positions won by Babalola Aishat of Gbaja Girls Junior School and Asuelimhen Ofure Esther of Vetland Junior Grammar School.

World Science Day Competition

The First Position in Biology was clinched by Okocha Emmanuel of Shasha Community Senior High School.

Y2020 Robotics State Finals

The Y2020 Robotics State Finals Senior Category recorded Epe Senior Grammar School as the first, while Birch Freeman Senior High School and Ojo Senior High School emerged in second and third positions.

In the junior category, Junior Model College Meiran took the first position, beating Oriwu Junior Model College and Festac Girls Junior Secondary School to second and third positions respectively.
