Dr. Kennedy Obehiri Obohwemu has emerged winner of the “Three-Minute Thesis (3MT) Competition” 2022, organised by the University of Sunderland, United Kingdom.
The three-minute thesis competition is an annual competition held in more than 200 universities worldwide.
It is open to PhD students, and challenges participants to present their research in just 180 seconds, in an engaging form that can be understood by an intelligent audience with no background in the research area.

Running for Baylor at his first Big 12 Championships since moving to the United States of America, Nathaniel Ezekiel was in absolutely amazing form, storming to a massive Personal Best (PB) of 48.42s and breaking Henry Amike’s National Record (NR) that was set in 1987.
With that time, he qualified for the World Championships, set a World Under-20 Lead, an NCAA Lead and moved to 4th on the 2022 global toplist.
Behind him came Isaiah Levington who took 2nd in 48.82 seconds and Malik Metivier in 3rd with 49.53 seconds.
Former Nigerian president Dr. Goodluck Jonathan has been appointed to the international advisory board of the European Corporate Council on Africa and the Middle East.
The appointment makes Dr. Goodluck Jonathan the first sub-Saharan African leader to serve on the board of the ECAM Council, a non-profit organisation established with the purpose of promoting and developing relations between the countries of Europe, Africa and the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region, with Italy playing a leading role.
The Governing Council of the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA) has appointed Professor (Mrs.) Adenike Temidayo Oladiji of the Department of Biochemistry, University of Ilorin, as the Eighth substantive Vice Chancellor of the University.
The Council ratified the appointment at its Special Meeting held on May 12, 2022.
