Olude Kehinde Ajoke has emerged winner of the inaugural Ogun Women Run event with a time of 20 minutes and four seconds in the five kilometers race.

The race held on 4th June 2022 at First Bank, Sapon, Abeokuta, and ended at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta, Ogun state.

Umar Sadiq Wins Unión Deportiva Almería Player Of The Season Award [2021/2022]

Umar Sadiq has emerged Unión Deportiva Almería Player of the Season for 2021/2022, as the club gains promotion to the Primera División in Spain (La Liga).

Sadiq capped off a fine season with 18 goals and 9 assists in the Segunda Division. He finished the season with the most goal contributions in the league. He also netted once in the Copa Del Rey.

Ime Udoka Becomes The First Nigerian To Coach A Team To The NBA Finals

Ime Udoka and his Boston Celtics team defied the odds as they became the first team in franchise history since 1974 to win a Game 7 on the road, defeating the Miami Heat 100-96 at FTX Arena.

The dramatic victory secured a spot in the NBA Finals for Boston for the first time since 2010, a storybook moment for the franchise that was under .500 at the midway point of the regular season.

Ime is in his first season as head Coach in the NBA and they face Golden State Warriors for the NBA finals. He becomes the first Nigerian to coach a team to the NBA finals.

NSCDC Wins ITTF 2022 African Club Championship (Women Category)

Egypt’s ENPPI Club and Nigeria’s NSCDC have emerged winners of the ITTF 2022 African Club Championships’ in the men and women categories respectively.

The championship finalized on on May 25, 2022, is one of the three events billed for the table tennis festival at the Molade Okoya-Thomas Hall of Teslim Balogun Stadium.

Chinecherem Nnamdi Prosper has set new records in the men’s javelin throw at the 2022 NCAA West Regionals with a 81.22 meters throw.

His throw sets a new school record as well as a new national record (NR) as he broke Pius Bazighe’s previous NR set in 1999, improving it by 14 cm.
