CHICKEN CHANGE

I quickly board a bus to go home after work. Bode, my colleague also entered and sat close to me, then he puts his hand in his pocket, brings out a thousand naira note and gives to the wheelbarrow pusher who helped him carry his bags.

” Hey! B man”. He fondly called out to me.

”  I saw what you gave that guy. That was nice of you”. I commended him.

” na chicken change na.” He replied

” not to the Man. Even though he earns chicken change for a service. He still accepts it joyfully”.

DIRTY SLAP

I took a stroll on one of the days during school break hours, and I over heard two male students discussing something so hilarious.

” Kunle, do you cry when your teacher flogs you?”.

” No. I can’t cry in front of my fellow guys”. Kunle replied.

” What about when your mum slaps you?

“Mehn..! That slap makes tears drop from my eyes uncontrollably”. Kunle replied in laughter.

” I tell you, a slap from mum can reset your brain. But, you know what? I love her for that.” The other boy said to kunle.

EYE SERVICE

” If I am elected as the leader of the Community, I will support every shop owner here with a huge amount of money.

” Mtweeee! I won’t fall for those tactics again” mama kachi said to her fellow market woman, Stella.

” Yes my friend, that is how most of our politicians do. ” Stella replied.

” With eye service they gain respect and win the votes of ignorant civilians. Honestly, I won’t also fall for that”. Mrs. Marvelous who has been listening to our conversation all along added.
