Ese Brume has emerged winner of the women’s long jump event with a 6.92 meters jump (0.0) , which is a season best at the 2022 CITIUS Meeting in Bern.
Ese Brume and Tobi Amusan have won Gold medals at the 2022 Meeting International de Sotteville in France in the long jump and race events.
Anthonia Nkwogu has emerged winner of the second edition of the Felicia Agubata Science competition and scholarship for girls in primary schools.
The competition organised in honour of Dr. Felicia Agubata, the former president of the Association of Professional Women Engineers of Nigeria, for her passion for seeing STEM at the forefront of career opportunities in Nigeria, is designed to ignite the passion for STEM subjects among girls from the grassroots.
The competition, which tested participants in Mathematics, English Language, Quantitative Reasoning, Basic Science and Civic Education, was held at the Foluseke Abiodun Shomolu Club House, Auditorium, Egbin Power PLC Estate, Egbin, Ikorodu.
Oluwabusayo Madariola has been awarded the 2022 Earl Lovelace Short Fiction Prize and a prize of £500 for her story: The Season of Heavy Rains.
The runner up is The Taste of Dust by Okechi Okeke.
