Victor Ayooluwa Babalola has emerged as the overall best graduating student at the University of Uyo (UNIUYO) [2019]. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the Department of Economics, Faculty of Science.

He also emerged as the best graduating student in the Department of Economics and Faculty of Science.

Jolaosho Oluwatoroti Otokini Wins 2019 UBA Foundation National Essay Competition

14-year-old Jolaosho Oluwatoroti Otokini of Louisville Girls High School, Ogun State, has emerged the overall winner of the 2019 edition of the UBA Foundation National Essay Competition.

Jolaosho Oluwatoroti Otokini wins the grand prize of an educational grant of ₦2,000,000 to study in any African university of her choice.

Jolaosho Oluwatoroti Otokini clinched the first position at the grand finale of the competition, which was held on December 9th, 2019 at the UBA Head Office, Marina Lagos. Her essay was declared the best out of over 5,000 entries received by the UBA Foundation from students of senior secondary schools across Nigeria.

OAU Wins 2019 CFA Society Nigeria Ethics Challenge

Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, have won the national finals of the 2019 Ethics Challenge of the CFA Society Nigeria in Lagos.

OAU emerged winner ahead of the University of Lagos (UNILAG) and Covenant University, who came second and third respectively in a competition that involved seven (7) universities.

The universities are: University of Ilorin, University of Nigeria Nsukka, University of Abuja and University of Ibadan. Others are: Obafemi Awolowo University, Covenant University and the University of Lagos.

Team AirSync Win Hult Prize OAU On Campus Challenge 2020

Team AirSync have emerged overall winner of the Hult Prize Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) On Campus Challenge 2020 held on the 12th of November 2019 at the Institute for Entrepreneurship & Development Studies, Obafemi Awolowo University in Nigeria.

Team AirSync emerged as the winner of the On-Campus competition with their soon-to-launch idea of an air balloon device, which could almost at the speed of light detect oil spillage, leakage and vandalism within three kilometer (3 km) range and 5,000 feet (ft) above the ground.

The news of the 47th successful renal transplant was stated by Dr. Dalhat Salahu, an Anasthesiologist in the hospital, who was part of the renal team.

The Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria (DICON) unveils locally produced mine resistant ambush protected vehicles named ‘Ezugwu’ and other armored vehicles designed to carry out insertion and extraction of troops, assault, counter-terrorism, delivery of high fire power and urban warfare.

The vehicles and equipment were unveiled during the Chief of Army Staff Annual Conference, which held in Kaduna on the 3rd of December 2019.

Winners Of 2019 Chief Of Naval Staff Under-14 Boys And Under-17 Girls Football Competition

Ekiti and Kwara states have won the 2019 Chief of Naval Staff Under-14 boys and Under-17 girls football competition held at the Liberty Stadium, Ibadan.

In entertaining finals, Ekiti state defeated Kwara state 1-0 to emerge winners in the boy’s category, while Kwara state got a redemption through their girls, who recorded a 5-3 penalty victory over Rivers State after their game had ended 1-1 at regulation time.
