The statement read: “Areas of interest include new frontier exploration; crude oil market expansion opportunities and transfer of technology towards a quest for more energy security for both countries and the West African sub-region.”
December 2022: The NNPCL signed an MoU with Gambia and four other countries on the Nigeria-Morocco Gas (Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea Bissau and Sierra Leone).

August 2021: Nigeria’s anti-narcotics agency, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with it’s Gambian counterpart, Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Gambia (DLEAG) – on cooperation in combating illicit production, manufacture, and trafficking in narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors.
